Overall It's finally done! This is obviously the next one in my (hopeful) series depicting gods/goddesses/mythical beings, I hope you all like it and give it as much attention as Epona recieved. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I know there were things I could have done better (like the fur on the deer and the color of the quiver ). I also rushed the headdress , but ah well, I shall have to deal. I spent a good amount of time on the lighting and think it is the manipulation I have spent the most time trying to correctly light the model. I do think I'm improving... though watch me fail on my next one XD. This manipulation is dedicated to indecision-designs please read below for more information As always Comments & Critique is encouraged ^.^
behind the picture Gah! Ok, so I swear I have strands and locks of hair covering the chain in different places so that it looks like it's weaving in and out of the hair... but you can't tell that >.< *sigh* I fail. Truthfully, I should have left the bow silver... but it looked so odd in the picture, far too metallic and digital. (The reason for this is that in myth Artemis asked her father for a silver bow like the one her brother had.) I have been working on this manipulation for... well... I think it's been about a week and a half. Now, I suppose I should clarify. A week and a half ago I started hunting for stock for this manipulation. That in itself took a good day of searching. And then I started putting it together. I got the basics done before I lost all inspiration for it. So it sat in my pictures folder untouched until Thursday night when a good friend of my asked to see it, gave her opinion, and boosted my confidence a ridiculous amount. That is why this manipulation is dedicated to . Thank you so much Inde for helping me with this one as much as you did. I could have never done it without you. You gave me a boost when I needed it. You rock Inderz!
Time: 6-8 hours for stock, 10 hours working. Layers: 24
The Greek Goddess Artemis Name: Artemis Domain: The hunt and the wilderness Subdomain(s): Wild animals, occasionally fertility, and in some myths the moon. Portrayed as: Huntress carrying a bow and arrow - Artemis was often portrayed with a crescent moon over her head. The deer and cypress were sacred things to her.
thanks to I would like to say thank you to rach-resources and meepuns. I didn't actually follow their tutorials completely but they gave me the basics of drawing chains and crescent moons which helped make the picture complete. Thank you guys. their tutorials - chains | crescent moon
Beautiful... wow, you indeed did a marvellous job with the light! Thank you for using my stock- I never imagined it would serve in the décor of a Goddess

This is gorgeous! I love the lighting on the model, though the deer could use a bit more saturation or something He looks a little out of place! Nice job following the myth though I made a manip of Artemis too, though its nothing compared to yours!
Aww thank you Court I really appreciate that. Yeah, Mr.Deer seems to be the one thing wrong hehe I'm trying to get motivated to fix him. Did you post your Aretmis picture on dA? *goes off to look*
