Artist's CommentsWow... I started this at around 1pm today (it's 7:30pm now)  yay for superfast-photomanipulating!:edit: This is for a character I adopted (yay i got her!) :/edit: link. I realize this is not one of my best. I'm still trying to play around with the structure of the character and certain markings I'm not too sure about as of yet. Please, if you critique on this one, be gentle hehe. It's my first time with a different color mane, and markings etc. And believe me, I know it sucks. Name: Kyrenne (Celtic for Ruler) Gender: Mare Markings: Triple Spiral on her right rear leg - represents the maiden, mother, and crone. Sign of female power. Full spiral on right shoulder (hidden under wing in this one) - represents ethereal energy Five-fold left side on haunch - represents balance. The four outer circles represent the four elements. The middle circle unites all the elements with a goal of balance. Vine on front left leg (unsure if this will remain) Two front hooves are pink. Orange something or other under right eye, extends down nose a bit. Backstory: Kyrenne descends from a proud line of Tuatha de Danann (also known as Sidhe) horse like creatures. Wielders of magic and weavers of the divine. Her mother, Saoirse chose to leave the Sidhe realm, slipping into the mortal world where she met the father of Kyrenne. Although only a mortal stallion, Saoirse fell in love with him. After conceiving Kyrenne, however, she made the choice to return home. While she wished to stay with her lover she knew that her foal needed the protection and teachings of the herd to grow to her full potential. She stayed with Kyrenne until her first year, then, bidding her daughter farewell, she returned to the mortal world to remain with her stallion. Kyrenne is still young, still in the process of being taught by the elders of her herd, but she is strong and determined. She hopes to one day travel to the mortal world to meet her father and be reunited with her mother. thanks to horse - link background - link wing - link PAWS OFF! |
